The purpose of this website is to heighten one’s knowledge about the cell.  The primary goal is to inform the audience on how cells became into existence, its functions, and the fuel that keeps it TRUCKING!!!!!  Although Mel’s Cells is geared particularly to those who have an intense interest in cell biology, I welcome everyone to view and learn as much as possible!!!

Cells are small, membrane-enclosed units filled with a concentrated aqueous solution of chemicals and endowed with the extraordinary ability to create copies of themselves by growing and dividing in two.  Cells, therefore, are the fundamental units of life!!!!
